BTW nice picks, that car is badass

Technically I think it should be the C class because the C55 because it is based on teh C. Just like the M3 is based on the 3 series. I think even MB's ads and promotions are directed against the M3.
Great looks car by the way. I never did like the new CLK too much, thought the old ones had a more agressive look. But this definitely changed my mind.

I'd take that over the McLaren SLR anyday. Its not that far behind in performance, is alot cheaper and is more exclusive with only 100 DTM's to be built.

There are some more pics of this car at this address: http://fast-autos.net/mercedes/mercedesclkdtmamg.html unfortunately they aren't high-res either, but...there are some nice high-res ones at seriouswheels.com: http://seriouswheels.com/top-2004-Me...LK-DTM-AMG.htm
hope that satisfies the cravings!

Nice car, but it's a bit overdone IMO. I'd take the SLR anyday. Also, a car made to be the street version of a DTM race car should at least have a manual as an option.

Well...the DTM cars aren't running manual gearboxes so far as I know, so why would you make a road version with one?
This particular DTM-alike isn't the full-bore racecar either. Mercedes made a couple of true DTM CLKs and painted them silver...I don't know if they're road worthy, but they're certainly not racing.

The car looks great. I like it more than the old CLK GTR. Any idea on the price. My guess very expensive coz it will be very excusive cause they are only making 100 examples..

It will cost around £180,000 if imported directly from the factory in Germany.

It's to heavy the need to lose weight maby some 700 kg's.
I don't think is faster round the old nurburgring than a gt3 rs or 360 cs.

I love the shape of the car once combines the elegance of a ordinary SLK with the agressive spoilers of the DTM version..about the rest of the car....the car is perfect in every sense, although for me a SL or the SLR is a better looking car overall
