Is Photoshop CS2 worth it?
I've been reading up on the new photoshop released at the beginning of april and been trying to decide whether or not it's worth the price to upgrade (I'm currently using Photoshop CS). I havn't been able to decide, so I figured I'd ask you all (We all gotta edit hi-res pics, right?)
Are the new features really worth placing down another couple hundred dollars? It's not like CS is bad or anything... I'm just wondering if there is a feature, filter, tool, etc. that once I use once I'll never be able to turn away from. I figure now that people have had some chance to play with it, they might be able to tell me.

why don't you *cough* "buy it" *cough*, install it and see if it is worthy of the price tag?
I've read cs owners should upgrade, but sometimes the reviews from some tech mags aren't accurate

All I can say is if you dont have a beefy machine dont install it. I have it running on my old G4 and it is starting to show its age.

In your stats, it says you are 15 years old... I think that is not correct though is it? I dont know any 15 year old willing to pay 150$ for a software...
Im guessing you are much older than that and depend on Photoshop for work?

I ended up installing CS2 a few days ago since I was offered a free legit license (nope, not sharing details, just be assured i'm not lying)
I upgraded from PS7, which I quite liked.
There's a few really cool features in CS2, especially for cleaning up digital photos. Smart Objects are pretty sweet as well, because any transformation you do to them is non-destructive (meaning you can resize it back to normal at any time). it does that by saving a separate file of the original, but its a neat feature. Updating the original updates whatever copies of it you have in your PSD as well. sort of like Instancing objects in a 3d program.
Vanishing point is really neat as well.
At first CS2 ran pretty slow, but then I looked on adobes site and found out about an extension that could be enabled to make it faster if you have more than 1GB of ram (larger tiles), so that fixed the response issures really well.
Not sure if this helps you decide on whether its worth it, but you may as well just download the free trial and find out for yourself

Actually my dad is loaded. (dont wanna brag about it or anything.) But anyways DeMoN I was just telling you the price since you wanted to know. I went to their site and looked it up. I dont have PhotoShop since I dont really need it. I have tried the demos though. Its too much for what I need. I just needed an Image Resizer which I now use something called Mihivos Image Resizer or something? Anyways I am really 15.

Naw I became a car fanatic around 2000. So about when I was 12 or so? I got into all this car stuff because one day I was just playing some games on my Playstation and my dad or someone got some game called Gran Turismo. I was like sounds fun. Played it and sucked ass at it. Then I for some reason got into car games and then from there just into cars them selves. Now cars are my life..with the exception of school and weight lifiting and sports and such.
