Default Porsche prototype crashes driver killed

Apparently a Porsche 998 Cabro prototype being driven on the Autobahn as part of a test crashed and the Porsche driver was tragically killed.

In the US they have gone to the solid concrete barriers called Jersey Barriers. Here it is a metal guardrail which appears to have been set too tall for a Porsche. The car rather than bouncing off, went under leading to the unfortunate fatality.

Holly crap, its an awful crash, RIP for the test driver, wonder at what speed the car was going, and why did he crash, afterall its a prototype, maybe a mechanical failure....

Isn't this the second incident where the driver is killed?

From the photo, does look quite similar to the first crash.

I'm always proud to accept a "stan". I guess I'll have to look harder in the archives next time. It just showed up on wrecked exotics.
