Default Quinn, stay or goes?

Pat Quinn the maple leafs' head coach, and highest paid coach in the NHL.
with the team on the longest loosing streak under his coaching.

should he be sent home?

IMO i have wanted this guy out since day one, he was nothing in van. without bure. and he has nobody to lean on in toronto (mayb sundin buy he isn't that type of player)
cut him off before we spend another 1.5+mill on him.

Quinn isn't really the Leafs total problem, injuries to key guys - Sundin lackluster play and other underachieving in all areas of the ice are more at fault. Let's also keep in mind that this is mostly JFJ's team. That being said - Quinn does play alot of pilons ie; DOMI - BELAK far too much because of his rather "old-school" mentality, about playing the guys that have been with him the longest.

But, before we say Quinn is the Leafs problem and should be fired, let's see how he coaches in Turin.

injuries are part of the problem.
but how many times have the leafs been to the playoffs and still manage to win with tonnes of injuries?

if you watch them, the plays the run they are just set up bad, the lack of effort to get into the ref face from Quinn, the way he answers reports question, he is just half assing the whole thing IMO

I don't think they have any real leadership in that dressing room - the loss of Roberts hurt us alot i think. And now without Tucker, Lindros (who better pick up his game) or McCabe - they're lacking alot of depth.

The simple reality is - the Leafs are barely a playoff team this year - they need help on D and they need 2 snipers.

Hmm - did you hear that Antro might go? I say we trade McCabe, his salary is going to be huge next year and he's worth alot right now, Klee too.

the salary cap is going to go up, and the leafs have more money then any other team (if they want to use it) so i won't worry about re-signing mcCabe

allison will go cause he a clause in his contract that he gets bonuses for the more points he gets. he hasn't been putting up the points that much, but he is really usless on a team with to many centers and not enough depth on the wings.

The cap is at what 31 right now? - it'll be what 40ish next year?

McCabe makes what - 4mil - he'll want 6-7 next year -

You're looking at paying the kids more next season too - so the team doesn't really get any better by keeping McCabe

don't think he will be asking for 6-7
Chara will prob. be asking ottawa for 5.5-6.5
and there is no why you can compare Chara to mcCabe, any team will pick up Chara first. big, strong, good D, hard shot. mcCabe got nothing on him.

mcCabe will prob be asking for 5mill @ best, anymore and I would tell him to fly off

that number is inflated for 2 reasons,
he is the only one that shoots on the PP, and those couple of games that he ran up the points on atl.
