Default Hummer stuck in 2-3 feet of water rescued by helicopter

This got to be one of the funniest things i've read about SUVs.

I can't tell...is that an H1 or H2? Pretty funny none-the-less.

^^its an H2 because in a H1 you can only seat 4 people. and they dont come with sunroofs. also that they arent shit. also for a H1 2-3 feet is like a puddle. also in the H1 it is pretty much physically impossible to get across the center console thing. i have been inside one and it is cramped up like hell.

Haha thats down by my house. Alot of idiots in there lifted trucks/suvs, etc.... try to be macho and see if they can get across the washes. They never do. I love the monsoon season here it weeds all the idiots out.

Hmm, I figured it was an H2, but I didn't want to jump to conclusions. I'm sure there is some way to get an H1 stuck, but that sounded like cheese for an H1. Oh well, one more reason to hate the H2.

Even an H1 would get suck if water got sucked up into the motor. So unless it had a snorkle package 3ft of water could very well have gotten water upinto the air intake

Hence why the h1 is a top breather.. the engine intake is higher then 3ft..
Also the non civilian ones are almost all optioned with snorkels.

The h2 was never intended as an off roader.. it was aimed at a different market..

H2 would have at least more off road capabilities then Touareg V6

Hm, that sux for that H2. I would think it should be able to handle something like that. Come to think of it, there're not that many H2 offroading vids that ive seen. i guess too many ppl use it for the 'urban jungle' and a fashion statement. shame...

actually Hummer claims a water fording height for the H1 at 2.5 feet so not over 3 feet now with the short snorkle it's roughly 4.5 feet and the tall snorkle is something like 77"

the fording depth for a H2 is 20 (44.5 in Truck Trend) inches. for an H1 it is 30 (52 in Truck Trend) inches

Hmmm.. didnt know that.. must be related to over splash cause the intakes a hell of a lot higher then 2.5 feet.
