ive no idea either.its why i think the WRX is better value for money, with the PPP the WRX is like 261hp which in a straight line i think makes the WRX faster than a stock STI due to it bein a slight bit lighter.

Yep, I recently spoke to someone who was thinking of buying the new Impreza. The WRX is 39.000 Euros and the STI is 51.000 Euros!!!

Why not just buy the WRX, make it look like a STI with some options and then tune it yourself :bah:

There are a number of things you get on an STi which are worth the price over a WRX - 6-speed, DCCD, Brembos, stronger engine internals and a bigger turbo.

It all depends on budget and what you're after, I've just bought a new turbo for my WRX since the standard TD04 was reaching its limit.....if I had an STi I could probably keep going with the stock turbo.

I think I said it in the thread about my car, but I'm happy I bought a WRX and can now make it individual with the money I saved rather than getting an STi and keeping it stock as I spent too much on the base car. For what I use my car for its more than capable, an absolute blast to drive and will stay with a stock STi as it is at the moment.....give me 3 weeks and it won't see which way I went.

/\/\ Mm interesting Dingo!

But at least you can vouch for the thought that its better to go for the WRX and then mod it yourself

But we'll see in 3 weeks

exactly, its why i like dingo's WRX on here and with his next set of mods will be faster than an STI and still be under the cost altogetehr of what a stock STI costs.
