Default AMV8 RS

I saw two awesome pics of this car in a portuguese magazine a few weeks ago and it was stunning  . I don't know if it is a photosop but it looks very real.

I can't find the 2 decent pictures I saw but anyway go to this page to see one of them and some info about the car 8)

http://news.caradisiac.com/Aston-Martin-V8-Vantage-RS

There are a lot of sites with this article but all of them had the same picture. Maybe someone could scan the Auto Express article

Looks French to me, actually. Here's the article as translated by Babelfish. Some of the translation is kinda funny, like "magazine Car Express train"

Well it looks amazing, i really just wish it came with 450hp in the first place. I really doubt that it'll keep up with the Porsche or Ferrari, but who cares, it's a stunning car and it sounds amazing (not that other two don't).

Awesome!! What it's slightly lost in terms of beaty it has more than made up for in power. The weight reduction is a very important step, all modern Astons are way too heavy to rival with the equivalent Ferrari and Porsche. Now it's going to be in the 996 GT3 territory with an extra 40BHP. I simply cannot weight. But is this going to be produced INSTEAD of the rumoured supercharged 500BHP version ??

This car deserves 500hp and nothing less.....An F430 should beat it the way it is now. F430 has 483hp I believe...A Viper or Vette will tear the shit out of it...Speed aint everything but this particular Aston should be a world beater...450hp aint gonna make it a world beater...

Weight savings is what this car really need for an RS version IMO. They say here that they're going to shave 150kg's of and that's a lot. But really if they're going to make an RS version I hope they make it hardcore and not softcore like most Astons. Do not get me wrong I like Astons but generally they're a gentleman sportscar and that means they need to be distinguished and luxurious.

Well...that's definitely a PS job, I've got the original picture from which it was made. I'm not a fan of the front end either, but the CF roof a la BMW M6/M3 CSL is pretty cool and would lower the CG quite a bit. It's going to need a fair bit more than 450bhp if it's going to compete well with the new Porsche 997 GT3 for which I've seen rumors of 400bhp or more. The GT3 is going to be lighter weight for sure, so the Aston needs to make up the difference in power and I seriously doubt that 50bhp is going to be enough of an advantage.
