I am not talking about any cars in practicular. What I am saying is that first of all HP is overrated by the general public. Second, if all else was equal and the Ferrari was down 50hp thus it doesn't perform as well as rivals then it is bad PR.
If they are down 50hp but still very competitive against their rivals then it matters not.
You picking up what I am putting down?

No doubt that Ferrari will always have that prestige. And I am not saying that Ferrari have inferior cars now, but I am saying in the future if they do, it is not an excuse to make an inferior car.
I highly doubt that Ferrari executives would even dare to consider that as an alternative. "We make a crappy car or a car that is outgunned by Lambos, Zondas, etc, but that's okay because we are Ferrari."
