There is no cuyrrent one , the one that is on sale now is the M3 , the M2 is the M version opf teh 1 series , which has 2 series nomenclature for the Coupe , as will be in the future

I heard there isn't gonna be a new m3......it's gonna be an m4.
even numbers for the sedans & wagons, odd numbers for the 2 doors.
btw, don't like that m2 or the new 1 series. :x

You got that backwards. . . it is Odd numbers for Sedans and Even numbers for Coupes.

And yes, there will be a M3 and a M4.

I like the idea of having a smaller four-door car, something similar to an S4 but with more power..I think the M4 will be a great car.

The engine specs seem to be a little exagerated to me. Each and every one of them with 100 bhp/litre... if that is the case, then BMW is going to start something really new cause they are not used to build high stress four cylinder engines, the ones with more or at least 100bhp/litre, but i´m sure those engines will be incredible. Just hope they don´t start turbocharging them...

Me too I like the idea, I read on m5board.com that the next M3 will be a V8 400hp, 4-door sedan, that's will be great.

What the fuck are you yabbing about? BM is used to building hi-tech, high compression 4 and 6-bangers...just look at the old and new M3. The new M3 has over 100 hp/l. BM makes some of the best engines in the world, and they will not fail with the M2, I'm sure! BTW: it looks very nice indeed!
