I think this is true. As far as I know McLaren never built engines ever. McLaren F1 had a BMW V12. Their Formula 1 cars never used built-in-house engines. And the SLR which is a Mercedes, is powered by Mercedes!

The Zonda uses the old 6.0L 48 valves V12 that was on the last generation S,CL,SL. Current generation none AMG S,SL,CL classes along with Maybach have a 36 valves 5.5L V12. AMG 65 cars have a 36 valves 6.0L V12, which was modified for the ME 4-12.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^zonda is a 7.3 liter guys

Zonda uses a 7.3 liter V12 AMG engine with 555bhp....

Its almost the same engine that was used in the SL73 AMG (525bhp)....

Well they need to come over here to america then. We have 800,900, 1000 + HP cars just roaming around with no where to go, most with manuals too. ask RC-45, im sure hes ran into on of those BPU +++ Supras.

LOL - and not just Supras either - we have a number of 900hp+ Vipers, Vettes and Camaros in Houston.

There are a bunch more in the 700hp+ catagory

I think the engined tuned with McLaren is fine, but I actually agree its uselles in automatic, imagine the fun you can have eith a manual SLR

How do u feel if u were the owner of normal SLR after spending lots of money!

All that want is that exclusivity!!

shut up there will NEVER be an AMG version of a McLaren based off an AMG think about it!




sorry this just pisses me off when people think that this will happen.
