Anyone going to London on 6 july...?
...that takes a video/photo camera with him?
I think this was discussed a while ago in another thread, but I like to bring this up now since the date is very close and maybe some of our English members need a reminder...
Of course I'm talking about the F1 cars parade in Piccadilly Circus and Regent Street. If any of you lot are going, bring back some footage for the poor sods that can't be there!!!

You are not far off, I thought I was going to have an easy week last week, but ended up not leaving work untill 10pm every day. I really can't predict my hours at the moment. I can't complain though, as I enjoy what I do. I might manage an hour or so away from work to go and see these cars .

I was there \o/
The organisation wasn't the greatest, confusion over the track layout and setup, spectators told to come forward, then back, then forward again and small disputes firing off at random points around the area.
I got there at 3pm to get a front row 'seat', so I was standing on the same 20cm x 20cm square for 5 hours

Mansell - Jordan
Crowd Madness !!!

I wanted to be there so much I know they should try, and do F1 parade's all around England motorsport tracks. Expect for Silverstone because Silverstone has F1 at its track, every year on the F1 Calander.

SDK2003, thats a top effort! I was 3 rows back after arriving at 5 pm outside jaegar on regent street, me mate and his girlfriend were guests of jaguar F1 inside, so i didnt get pics as good as that!!! I had to stick my camera up out of the crowd so i couldnt time the pictures, so i took short videos with me camera as they all went past and back down again. If anyone can host them im willing to share, they are bout 5 megs max each and there's 12 vids i think.
I was very dissapointed with the spectacle to be honest, organisation was shit, and it wasnt an atmosphere i enjoyed a huge amount, due to a lot of people just turning up cus they could, rather than being actually interested in F1 it was very very crowded, and a lot of people were being disrespectfull, especially to a girl who nearly passed out next to me cus of the crush, then when security asked the people to give here some room they all started slating her saying she was putting it on!
Still it was pretty good, i didnt get any pics of the cars, only the vids, but this is what regent street was like, up and down from where i was standing/being squashed!

Damn, what a crowd... Too bad you couldn't enjoy it to the fullest, coombsie. I've heard a lot more complaints about the organisation.
Great pictures, SDK! The uttermost respect for standing for five hours to get such a good spot. You're really determined. Bet you got rewarded though! Not many people get to see F1 cars blasting past so close by. Are you deaf right now?
