Jeremy obviously sold his sl to buty the Ford GT
He said in the new episode of top gear last sunday that he did buy one but that it can only do 4mpg and only has a 17.5gallon tank. richard and james were dissing him coz the car can only do 70 miles on a full tank and he lives 76milles from the top gear studio

even if jeremy doesn't sell his SL now, he's definately gonna have to later to pay for all the fuel costs of running the GT.

anyone see last week's top gear when jeremy tried gettin in to the GT when parked beside another car? it was hilarious!!!

if u didn't see it, then it is definately a must get video!

i'm still not convinced that he'd sell the SL, because he said he bought it because it was so relaxing whereas he describes the GT's acceleration and decelleration as painful to the neck. and why would u buy an SL55 AMG for such a short period of time??

hopefully he hasn't sold the SL cos it is an amazing car!

Think that 4 mpg bit is just for hammering the car on the Top Gear track; didn't notice any road driving in the episode. FWIW, Autocar got 12.3 mpg average, 18.1 at its best (they said you'd be looking at 20 mpg, if you drove it in a way for which it was not meant), 6.7 mpg at worst. They figured a real-world range of 216 miles. JC shouldn't have anythig to worry about.

That's where you're wrong: thinking all Clarkson does is drive nice cars all day. He has to write columns, and is always on a plane. His life isn't all nice. I betcha he bairly gets to drive his own cars.

Clarcson's professional life is great. He is a joutrnalist and that's what he does best, Being a carnut at the same time is just coincidence and he has joined those 2 together. However, I think after sighning 3M £ deal with BT he does not have to sell his Sl55 AMG, in fact besides of getting Ford GT as it arrives to UK, he may consider buying F355 back (or maybe he'll just try out 360)?
