Default your current favourite hot hatch ................diesel

In the same way as other topics, id like to get your opinion about your favourite hot-hatch......diesel.....once nowadays we have very quick diesel small cars, and theyve got a good balance of suspensions, good brakes.......

just in case, there you go an approximate list of diesel hot-hatches that exist on the market nowadays

Seat Ibiza Cupra R TDI(160bhp)
Skoda Fabia RS
Seat Ibiza TDI(130hp)
VW Golf 2.0 TDI
Alfa 147 1.9JTD 16V
Pug 307 HDI 16V
Pug 206 HDI
Opel Astra 2.2 TDI 16V
Ford Focus TDDI
Nissan Almera 2.2 DI 16V
Renault Mégane 1.9 Dci
BMW 320td Compact....................

I did decided to exclude the merc C Class 300 CDI AMG, once the price of this car is much higher than the earlier mentioned car lists

My vote goes for the Ibiza Cupra R, once its the most powerful car, one of the lightest, and it has good brakes and hard suspension as well....if this Ibiza wasnt on the list, Id choose the Fabia RS probably

I'd take the Pug 206 or the Beemer, since they are the only diesel hatches I've driven. We hardly get any diesel passenger cars here in Aus, pity that, since I feel that modern diesel engines are excellent.

Seat Ibiza TDI and Skoda Fabia vRS get my votes. BMW no doubt is the best, but it still is very ugly and unproportioned. How about Audi A3 TDi?

Of course, not even one of them's available in the states.
