Default Car show and Drag racing in FL

I recently attended a drag race/car show in Gainesville, Florida.
It was a Ford event which you will notice.
Here are the pics I took.

This was my favorite one there. It is street legal but it is tubbed out, supercharged, and the whole works. He also has 4 subwoofers in the back seat. I can't believe he has room.

This is the car I am going to get soon

V8 Focus

Many turbo cars. Got boost

nice I love those Roush/Coddington California Roadster stage 3's and the V8 Focus those are wicked, I've seen a Twin-Turbo V8 one before the thing was wicked, instead of foglights on the SVT bumper it had turbos.

I hope one day I can understand the whole 1/4mile thing

Apart from that I think a lot of those Stangs would be better off with stcok paint jobs. This high gloss wave of paint jobs is driving me crazy.

You have to ride in a sub 11 second car down the track and then you will understand. I have only been down the 1/8th of a mile and it was in 7 seconds. That was one of the most incredible rushes I have experienced. The acceleration is just amazing. And despite what people think, it requires some skill and concentration to be a good drag racer.

I don't like the fronts of the long cars that try to look like Mustangs. They must be hella' fast though.

Yea and of course it is good for aerodynamics. I don't think drag racers care as much about looks as they do performance (obviously).
