No, I don't think so. Most standard NSX's (3.2L) dyno at around ~250-260rwhp, which is pretty close to 290 fly wheel hp, and considering the weight savings of the NSX-R, the weight difference can pretty much account for all of the increase in straight line performance.

? what he means is that gan-san (Motaharu Kurasawa(sic)) is not a top gear tester but a best motoring regular(for years). So is his son Takuya who races in the super taikyu(sic) series.
If there is a BM group test with a NSX then odds are gan-san will be in it and will extract all that is possible from it, mad skills .

I was joking. Who knows what I was thinking when I made the mistake, but I know the difference between topgear and best motoring.

That would be some pretty outrageously terrible spelling if it was a spelling mistake, hence the wink.

What on earth are Honda thinking.. they only have ONE car with any credibility, and that is already pretty old (10 years?)

I would consider the S2000 to be a very respectable car, and in its class, the Civic type-R is a great hatch. Lets face it, very few of us can afford lambo's (which are a bitch to drive) and ferrari's (which my bank acount means I cant even afford to talk about ownership) means that we still need some respect for car with performance for cheap, and the NSX was never that. If anything its biggest problem was its price. Add to that the fact that no car holds its value like a honda and you still pay alot for a 13 year old used one.
Thing is honda doenst have much right now in america (its a little better in europe, you get civic and accord type R's). Here the best civic we get is a POS 160 hp Civic Si that handles like crap, goes like a slug and looks even worse :x
The nsx was a brillant car, but I really really want to see honda enter the $29-39,000 sports car market with something more hardcore than the s2000, which has always been a roadster. Is a high output honda v-6 (300hp? 350hp?) to much to ask in a car that doesnt have 4 doors, a $100,000 price tag, or 'sporty comfort' roots?
