5th Gear on Australian TV...

Hello all,

We FINALLY got Tiffs 'GT3 vs Gazelle' episode 2.5 hours ago! (ripper )

That's 7 months since it first aired on UK TV!




I'm not complaining, just making an observation thats all.

I'm just grateful to have it come on TV at all because when 5th Gear first began back around 2000, all I got from Satelite experts was simply that it was impossible to get as we were on the wrong side of the world.

I rang my local pay TV network and begged them to get 5th Gear.

(don't know if I had anything to do with it but not too far down the track it was on the telly! )

Just a couple of other things...

With TopGear - we only get half an hour, not the full hour.

With 5th Gear - the music is different during the tests

(ie. tonight's GT3 vs Gazelle test had almost no music compared to the Kill Bill - I think? - music that was on the UK version - I can see positives and negatives in both as on one hand - with no music - you can hear the engine better etc. etc. and on the other hand, I did enjoy the music from the UK version...)

I never knew it was on Australian TV.... whoops! Mind you, I find its better to get the fifth gear and Top gear episodes off the net... for the very reason you mentioned: you can get them when they come out, and not wait 7 months for the privelidge.

7 months is nothing compared to how long we have to wait in North America! Speed channel airred first episode of 4th series just last week! Can't complain, feel lucky enough to see them on TV for the second time

Thats pretty bad. I would though you guys would get TV programs before us? I thought Australia was at the bottom of the list. Hmmmm....

I wonder why it takes the networks so long? Thank goodness for the internet!

Hey guys im from Adelaide, and i saw the same episode i know what you mean. I downloaded those movies ages ago and now they are coming up on tv its crazy.
