DVD - AVI TO VOB

Does anyone know of a way to get AVI files to vob files, dvd format?

I have tried to find a guide online and havent been able to find much except for something conversions where the quality will be lost. Is there another way to convert the avi to something else before burning it so quality will not be lost? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!

An MPG (VOB) when created from an AVI will involve some kind of compression and possibly quality loss.

Like RC45 said, you lowers the quality whenever you reencodes a file (with a lossy compression for the techies). You can only minimize the quality loss.

Get a good mpeg2 encoder like TMPGEnc or the Cinema Craft one. Use the highest bitrate / resolution possible as well. Hope this helps.
