F360 crashed while trying to outrun cops (LQ pics only)
Two Ferraris were chased by cops in speeds of excess 250km/h (at least the Ferraris reached those speeds) in Sweden today. One of them got away but both cars have personal licenseplates and are registered in Malmö, the town I live in. The other car did not get away and crashed when the cops hit it with his Volvo V70.
Update: Both of the drivers are now caught. They were heading for Falkenberg racetrack but started competing a little too early.
Moral of the story: You need something faster than a Ferrari to outrun a Volvo station wagon
The story for those of you that understands Swedish; http://w1.sydsvenskan.se//Article.jsp?article=10116958[img]

Idiots.....why did they run from the cops?
Its a shame a Ferrari was damaged but in a way I'm happy as it will teach these dickheads a lesson and cost them some $$$

That's a actually what the writer of the article thought at first but it seems like that turned out wrong.
They ran from the cops because they blew by a speedtrap in about 200km/h and that would have cost them their driverslicense. Now they will definitely pay a higher price. In the crashed car was a father and a son. Don't know who was driving but only a retard would try to outrun the cops, especially with familymembers in the car.

No, the Volvo would spin the wheels and pull the whole road backwards like pulling a rug. If the road would be pulled by the volvo's torque, that means that both 360's would be standing still at full throtle. By that time the other cop car would come from the other direction, walk up to the 360 at full throttle and tell them to "slow" down, because they aint moving.

i don't know, loosing a license is a pretty big deal, running away doesn't sound so bad ... at least give it a shot, and if they catch up, well then you can pull over, but don't just roll over for the police, let them earn their money ... I know of one pretty old Lotus Omega that gave it a shot, and got away clean, from a Volvo; on the other hand, what is a V12 doing inside that Volvo, is that correct?? I would think a V12 would not fit in there ... i don't know, may be you are right, just I have never heard of this before

Moral of the story: If u can't out run an Volvo on the highway with a Ferrari, that means u are:
1) Not driving fast enough, or pushing the Ferrari hard enough
2) Traffic conditions are bad and it is stupid trying to outrun a cop

So it's worth risking innocent peoples lifes just to not loose your license? IMO it's smarter to not drive 200km/h when it's restricted to 110km/h.
Of course it's not a Merc V12 in the Volvo..Think a little plz..
