Also a black WRX is a super strong Pig-magnet and dickhead magnet, be prepared for trouble and not the fun kind either. -Lowring, its more wank really, on a day to day basis you'll forget about it and smash off your nose or smash off your tail pipe reverse parking over a gutter, have $3K in the bank just in case. -Rims, the stock rims look awesome and are rumored to be partically design with Rays enginnering, therefore they're light weight and better handling/cornering speed than most AFM rims. -red paint calipers, your choice but be warned that "tire polish" will fade the colur quickly, mine are supposed to be black but are in light grey! Fine by me it match the paint! -Exhaust more wank- extra ~3KW ATW and loss of some torque, $3K for a fart cannon, a 3'' cat back exhaust will also hang underneath the car, so a speed bump taken at speed and you'll smash it. I can understand the "boxer rumble", if your going that way look long and hard first. A fart cannon will attract cops and D***heads and hang down, so you'll get defected. Just look long and hard, but be aware that everything has some drawbacks. Id still go for a bugeye but one unmodified of course and any colour except black! I love silver because it always looks clean even when flithy (ie its lazy), it reflects heat, doesn't attract attention, scrates dont show up as bad as any other colour and persoanlly I think it looks classy. Mods you should do, take off the "WRX" badge, people will hassle you less. Also the stero is cheap, go for Clarion head unit and speaker swap. I don't see how what I described could be considered as RICE or a WankRX - and they are definately not so common in black here. The most common colour in my eyes here in Perth would be silver or blue The info on the paint itself is news to me, but good to know and I will keep it in mind I would say the majority of WRX's are lowered without problems, and I wouldn't go over the top - just a little to enhance the looks What exactly do you mean about the 'tire polish' for the calipers? If I get them painted whats the problem? From what I have read most exhaust systems will gain you more than 3kW (ATW), but in any case I wouldn't want a 'fart cannon' - just something that sounds deep and mean Thanks for your opinions though, could be helpful down the track

No the tire polish that you use to make teh tires shinny, that attacks the paint on the calipers.

Typical P-plater mods the car and doesnt know how to drive.

What's wrong with the FMIC's anyway I've seen them on alot of WRX/STi's around here and they work, hell the one shop south of here (out of business sadly) had a fast as fuck(pardon my french) all yellow and I mean all yellow wagon that was totally gutted with a huge roll cage, then there is this kid at school with a black one that has a FMIC and huge exhaust that shoots fucking flames out the back.

I don't like the big exhausts which hang done either - so I wouldn't get one
You obviously don't like black but thats a personal thing - others may have similar feelings about silver cars for whatever reason The reason I want a black one is because they are not as common (in Perth anyway) and can look awesome if modded properly

Just experince thats all, same why you can stero type volvo drivers for instance.

But talk to a dude with a black car thought, I didn't really realise till I went to auctions and I saw a VYII Clubsport, it was less than a year old then but had swirl marks all over it, it looked aweful! Just make sure you know how to take care if it and you HAVE to keep it in a garage.

I saw one guy had twin pipe exhaust(bigger than standards, like two 3'' pipes) but that fitted nicely and gave the boxer rubble, I remeber it because I was crusing with him through the harbour tunnel, it was loud but it sounded great so bassy!

BAHAHA Acutally there was a guy here that put a supercharger in a 2.5RS, it had the same power and a turbo WRX - 139KW atw! Except it had the advantage of a linaer power curve! Neat project.


Lowering as long as has the legal requirment its should be ok, here's an example of the diffrence.

They are King lows, im happy with them, only got the lows as i didnt want issues with clearance. The improvements to the handling are great!
