Before people will turn around to get a glance on the new TT in 2006, owners of the current version already can witness this effect today, thanks to Mattig. Because the tuner from Hauzenberg, Germany, now offers a bunch of refinements for the first gerneration of this sports car from Ingolstadt, which is already a classic. Mattig starts with an extensive body-kit. At the front, a new spoiler-bumper – available for models with or without headlights washer – grade up the TT. The spoiler is dominated by a single-frame grill, which is typically mounted on serial A6 limousines, but not available from Audi for the TT. The frame customers have to buy seperately. The Mattig grill itself consists of two pieces. To complete the front modifications, Mattig puts covers on the headlights, which fit perfectly and replenish the TT´s front, too. At the rear, Mattig modifies the look of the TT using a more sporty rear bumper. With mounting backlight covers, Mattig puts the finishing touches to the cars´ back. The most spectacular modification is the conversion of the regular TT-doors into wing doors. Mattig provides a LSD-kit, which helps the Audi getting Lamborghini-style wing doors. A sports silencer made of stainless steel mounted beneath the Audi lets the car appear much stronger due to its remarkable sound. Also the rear view benefits from the silencers´ two tailpipes protruding on the left and right side. Regarding suspension and wheels, customers are also well served by Mattig. For the TT Mattig offers KW coilover suspensions in variants 1, 2 and 3. They bring the Audi 20 to 50 mm closer to the ground. As cheaper alternative, Mattig additionally offers a set of springs lowering the car by 30 mm at front and rear. Shiny “Oxigin Eins fullchrome” rims in 8x19” ET 35 come with Kumho tires measuring 225/35/19 KU 19. Optionally customers can order Continental Sport Contact 2 tires. All in all Mattig offers 7 different wheel set combinations starting with 8x18” Proline-rims.

Your reasons aren't very good. Technically, if it doesn't open like a Lamborghini door, then I wouldn't call it so. Who laughs at people? Are you speaking for everyone? Anyways, It's not hard to open or I mean "push hard" these doors at all. I don't know what kind of door's you've experienced but the ones I have open easily and just fly up. Also, must of been some cheap doors you have dealt with since they can't withstand wind.

lambo doors belong on lambos, and even then, they dont always do it... its the gullwing doors that people want :roll:

Other than that, I really don't have a problem with these doors. Personally, I wouldn't mind having doors like the Kleemann SL Scissor Doors. All controlled by one push of a button.

Yeah, Fab Design and Kleemann make scissor doors which open 'properly', without the two-hinge system like most people put on ricer cars.

Concerning the TT, I don't agree with the part about the headlight covers 'seamlessly' covering the lights. On every TT (and other cars that do this) that I've seen, these 'covers' always stand out a centimeter (on average) from the rest of the body, making it so obvious that this is just a cover. Maybe if the lights were phsically removed and then seated in farther into the body of the car (embedded, say, 5mm's or so), it would look more 'clean' when the covers are put on the place.

Having said that, the front headlight covers look pretty good. The rear ones however... man, oo many circles and whatnot.

Still, I like the TT, one of the first cars I really wanted to buy (and almost did), but ended up getting an SLK instead after experiencing a roadster for the first time (I prefer the Coupe TT over the Roadster one, btw).
