I finally saw an SLR up close today...
Ok, so I don't have pics (well I do, but he moved, so it looks like a terrible blurred pic of an Aygo), but seriously, what a car.
To cut a long story short: he was next to me at the stoplight, and we were around a busy area in central London. He suddenly revved it, and all the glass panellings of the surrounding buildings (and my car) shook like crazy.
It.Was.Mad.
Then when it went green, a new Viper (SRT-10) tried chasing it, but got pee-pee'ed on.
Yeah, I know. Big whoopee. I just had to share it though. I mean, you know it's a pretty special car when you see at least 5 Rolls-Royce Phantoms, 3 Maserati's, 2 Ferrari's, countless Bentley GT's and Porche's, all in about half a day of going around central London, but only see one SLR per year.
Mad car. I just wish I was quicker with my phone.

I've seen about 7 or 8 SLR's in London. There is always one just off Park Lane. I've seen 3 Enzo's, but i had to wait a while for my first CGT which i saw a few days ago. The Porsche was by far the biggest event for me, and the nicest sounding one

I guess those are the perks when you actually live in the city (I'm assuming you do), as opposed to those such as myself, who actually consider coming to London a "trip".

You're pretty much spot on there. Working in Knightsbridge was also a big help
