Have a look at the Ruf R50 prototype.

Usually I really like Ruf's stuff, but the looks of this car...well, ewww. The tail lights look like something out of VW's parts bin, and whats with the paint color/shine; there is none. It looks like they started and 2 weeks into it said, screw it, and threw the rest together in an hour. I'm sure it hauls, which is where it really counts, but I know that if I was going to spend the money that one does to purchase something from RUF, I would want a finished product.

it looks like an old(er) Porsche LeMans car had sex with a GT2 and a Boxster and as reznor put so well, it's definitely something that will compete in the performance department, but certainly not one of the most beautiful supercars out there.

also, any word on how much it will cost? lol or did i liss that part of the thread

I kind of like it. I guess I don't think it's the best looking car, but it doesn't bother me.

I agree with Epic. The look is somewhat generic supercarish, but it's clean and doesn't have 5 million vents all over it for cooling unknown regions.

I think it is just a test mule not the final design.

It kind of looks like a cross between a GT40, a Carrera GT, and an Ultima GTR (with maybe a little Jag XJ220) ... but only with the worst features of each, and none of the best.

I really hope they clean the lines up and drop those ludicrous lights. A little help from real designers would go a long way here, because it's probably a blast to drive.

I personally love the looks of that thing, especially the headlights. Very 917ish.
