E39 help needed (fixed)

Hopefully Supercarfreak can help me out with this one, providing his dad got the Dinan cold air intake kit for his M5.

I'm working on an E39 M5 that met a curb or something with it's oil pan. It took out the front end as well.

The owner has a Dinan Cold Air Intake system on the car and we've had to replace a few things. Where i am stuck at is the water delectors that fit behind the fog lamps. The instructions supplied with the kit don't have an illustration as to how they are supposed to go so i'm left with the somewhat vague written account as to how it's supposed to go. Unfortunately the secondary air pump on the right side is in the way and blocks any conceivable way this piece is supposed to fit. The left side has room with the horns moved out of the way but it doesn't make any sense as to how the pice is suppose to fit against the heat shields to enable me to rivet it on

I've tried to google the kit but can't find anything useful.

If anyone can get me a quick pic of either side i would greatly appreciate it.

unfortunately no. the ducts i am talking about are a good 2-2.5" wide and maybe 4-6" long (probably a bad guess) . One end is open and the other is closed off with holes drilled in it. They are supposed to fit behind the opening next to the foglamps (after a trimmed cover is put in place of the stock one) and keep rain water from soaking the filters (see the 540 pic to get an idea as to where they hang) and subsequently being sucked into the airflow meter which would ruin it.

figured it out earlier today. The deflectors angle down towards the ground (really inefficient) and required some grinding to fit properly on the right side.

^^ The bosch MAF sensors on those are really susceptable to water vapour too, the morgan aero 8 running the 4.8 V8 at SPA a couple years ago had terrible trouble with water soaking the air filter and effecting the MAF which caused missing i seem to remember. The rain there was just ridiculous though and the front splitter was making a nice bow wave straight into the inlet!
