I hope they'll wake up and make some nice looking cars with modern technology, there are billions of people in Russia and hundretd maybe thousands able to make a proper design and able to make it to designers studio of AutoLada Hoping VW or other big giants will not swallow it in the end

Very true, the design needs to be freshened up, and I don't see why they couldn't do it, or haven't done it yet.

as Ive heard in the interview with some new guy from the AutoLada 90$ millions stolen officially( ) every year from the factory, noone really cared about improving anything, very bad economics situation in general for a very long time are probably the causes.
All the manegement was changed so it might be better for Lada They have to produce same cars atm cause there is no money to redo everything, current cars will be delivered with more options like... airbags, abs, clima etc Then they start newer producton. Thats what that guy said
Btw 2 guys who "worked" in AutoLada became few of the richiest people in whole Russia, that can give you a picture how much money went thru Lada to elsewere

yep, true, true!!!
and Skoda isn't very popular just in Czech. here in Brighton, most of taxi cars are Skoda Superb  which is the cheaper option instead of 7 series, A8 etc...

Such a good point dani, for instance the Skoda´s case in Czech republic is very similar to Lada in Russia, in both countries the government had the comunist system and therefore it was very protective with the local products; however, there is no comparison between the Russia´s car market´s potential and the Czech´s one because of the existing contrast between the Czech republic´s population and the Russian one
The fact that manufacturers point the chinese republic is probably because of its potential in general

Nonetheless, I think that Russia could be the third powerful country alongside China and India within some years as long as the politics is settled, and there is no conflict between Russia and the some old sovietic republic countries

No it couldnt, it keeps getting robbed, and the people are seeing none of the "gas dollars".
For Russia to be a powerfull country it needs to get rid of Putin, every guy with stars on his sholders shot and let people run the country.
I know Russians here in Canada who went to visit Russia recently and besides the great city of Moscow there is nothing there. Step out of the city borders and you see what the country is really like.
Sad how those cunts in power ruin the place
