Well pain receptors help us survive, so these guys who don't feel pain are at a serious disadvantage.

I knew a woman in a wheelchair who spilt a pan of boiling water down her legs. She didn't feel any pain whatsoever, but knew that she was being burnt. Of course, she couldn't get out of the chair to do anything about it either.
