Default Repatriating to the UK in June!

The current plan is as follows:

June 15th I shall leave Texas to go back to England.

It's been a great three years but all good things must come to an end.

Other than the difference in salaries, the cost of living and the beautiful Texas weather, it's pretty much a case of pros and cons of each place equalling the other out.

I will be moving back to my place in Lancashire, North West England.

However, I'd like to think Lancashire is a temporary stop gap to bigger and better things, both my and Mrs TA's families are all in the south of the country, so I doubt we'll stay in the north for long.

The EU is a big old place and I'd quite like to settle somewhere further afield (sunnier) in the longer term, so who knows what may happen in the next 5-10 years?

Maybe I will brush up my Spanglish and go and work for EADS in Madrid

Whats EADS?

Find yourself someplace nice to live in. I will visit you there in a few years

Ah comeon the weather aint that bad in england ......

Ok 90% your right it is complete wank, but there's nothing more fun than a greasy roundabout, and they dont have them in the US!!!!

The recent sunny days over here have reminded me why i love england so much, when its a beautifull day its just great, nice temperature so your not sweating like a pig, but really really nice in the sun.

Roll on summertime, oh and end of exams!! 8)

Well, some of us knew it was coming.

I'm glad you have enjoyed yourself here in the states TA. I hope England is as fun as you remember it being. Some places tend to lose their luster after being gone for so long, but i understand what is calling you back.

I'm glad we were able to meet up before you leave. The JW FunRun was a blast, and i'm sure you're going to miss those types of roads once you get back to dreary old England I still say you need to plan another road trip before you go, but i am sure you have much more important matters to attend to 8)

Sure - greasy roundabouts are a great substitute for 120mph sweepers anyday...

I am gland you had a chance to savour some great driving roads and hospitality before you left T/A - and despite what some haters have to say, I am confident your 3 years in texas were great.

Sorry we hadn't managed to pull off 2 or 3 funruns over the last couple years.

Good luck and Godspeed old chap.

The moving house process seems to be coming along nicely, but it is very busy and I've not had much time to come on JW

Well, here I am, I will go and browse some of the many unread posts!
