Maybe due to reruns of football matches, or football related televised discussions, BBC2 decided it's best to keep Top Gear off until things chill down a bit.

There was no football coverage at all this Sunday on BBC2, it was all on BBC1 instead.

Well, I guess the BBC just didn't want to have Top Gear on at the same time as the match, which run simultaneously on a different channel, the number of people choosing the car programme would be low.

so they had to shift things from their primary channel (BBC1) onto their secondary channel (BBC2).
