It brakes and handles well
104ft from 60-0mph is pretty damn good. 0.96g isn't bad either.
.96 G is not worth a million dollars.. and neither is 104ft 60-0 braking

Sports cars have been doing that for 10 years now.
2 tonne GT cars havent, however.
I don't think the veyron is meant as a GT car.
What would you call it? A sportscar?
status symbol
Status symbol is pretty accurate actually. I used the word "meant" because I think VWs intention with this car was to make the ultimate sportscar, otherwise I don't understand why they always compare it with the Macca. Unfortunately it turned out overweight and unfocused. I have a very hard time seeing the Veyron being used as a GT car with hardly any luggage space and all it's other problems. If i was in the situation of buying a GT I'd much rather have a Conti GT, CL or a 6-series. Then I would have some money left to spend on a proper sportscar like a Zonda F or something similar.

I'm pretty sure the finances of the people buying the Veyron are worried about saving money for another car, which they probably already have. I would definately call this a GT, since they didn't worry about weight nor did they hold back on putting a totally luxurious interior into it. I still say it's impressive since there is nothing about it that would put you off from daily driving it. This car doesn't have the maintnence upkeep that other cars like Ferraris have, i'de say thats the biggest difference.

I'm not sure that you know what GT stands for? But a car with no luggage space is pretty hard to use for that purpose. Like I said before VW wanted to build the ultimate sportscar but unfortunately it turned out all wrong but yet a very impressive car in it's own way.

As being discussed, the veyron just exists.

It's a car without a class and some high performance numbers.

You either like it, or you don't.

The Veyron is officially called a GT, not a supercar (though it absolutely is one). Has anyone read the EVO comparison with the CGT, Zonda S and Enzo? They say the Veyron is the best handling car of them all, aswell as by far the fastest. They say it is as if it defies physics in the corners! And with a weight of two tons, this is simply amazing. It is (and nobody here can deny that) a technological masterpiece, and because of that and the IMO great looks i absolutely love it and i always will
