Yeah I would put Golf GTI/R32 Rims under it

Yeah, expect something around 55-60k up here in the north... or even more

Might be a good thing if you are a family father and don't wanna brag with a super avant from Audi. Something more stealthy, not to showy... like a real sleeper

wait, you cant compare the r32 to the s3. the r32 is a hatchback and the a3/s3 is a fastback, 2 different catagories in my book and far from direct competitors!!
|
No I agree with that Ronin without a moments hesitation. But think about it this way, if you were to buy a fast 3 or 5 doored car (hatch/fastback) most people don't know that there different, and just put them on their list as competitors. I agree that on paper they're not the same, but in real life people tend to see them as the same

Unless it handles better than a B6 S4, i just don't see the point of buying this over a used S4. I still like the concept though, are they throwing away the idea of a 4 door coupe Passat? I really found that car attractive.

I don´t think it can go from 0-60 in just 5.7 secs. In a new German car mag they say something about more than 6 secs which is much more realistic.

This model will be pulled after a year.
The Phaeton failure proves the market doesn't want luxury or high performance from VW... they want boring grocery getter cars.

What about the R32, that is a sporty VW and (I think) it sells pretty well.

One car that is "cheap enough" to keep a limited fan base happy does nto equate to an entire range.
If you are a "VW" driver, that means you are not able to afford an Audi.. yet.. so when you can you will buy the Audi... not an Audi-like performing Passat...
Its all about the ego...
