Any Europe-based JW'ers That Can Help?

I'm on the search for a used RS6 paddle shift steering wheel (wanna retro fit it to my 2002 S6 Avant that has the buttons on the steering wheel). Damn paddle shift wheels go for about $400 used in the US, without the $400 airbag. I'm wondering if they might be cheaper in Europe. I can probably swing cheap shipping via a friend's connection. Anyone have time to search around for me?

Thamar: 372 Euro isn't much cheaper than the US it looks like? But actually, looks like that one comes with the airbag...so maybe just the wheels would be much cheaper?

Phobo: any help would be appreciated. I'm just trying to see what they go for in Europe.

Insane: I thought maybe Europe might be cheaper since that seems to be where everyone is getting the steering wheels, then selling them in the US for $400. I'm sure they're making quite a bit of money off the wheels since they are very rare in the US.

Hey that's a sweet idea Stan. I've heard of a few guys replacing the plastic paddles on the back with some aluminum ones.

Of course I have no direct links or any information that helps you whatsoever. I read it on www.audiworld.com somewhere.

But if you get the wheel maybe that's something you'd want to consider to beef up the feel of the quality.

Ever since I drove my friend's RS6, I've wanted that shifter. It's so much more fun to drive than hitting the buttons...I dunno why.

That's the write up...I think mine should be easier since I have tip controls on the wheel already...

Someone posted that they got a wheel off Ebay UK for cheaper than in the US....

Can someone take a look around at maybe some dismantlers and see if they have anything on hand? Thanks.

I'm up for it...and can gain the knowledge. =)

I think my mod should be easier because I already have tip buttons on the steering wheel. That write up is more complex, because he didn't have tip buttons, so he needed a new canceling ring and had to run wires to the shifter to grab the tip signals. Mine should be much closer to a plug and play...
