If it was me, like I said.. look for a good one with nice history.. and that was looked after well.. a bad looked after one could end up costing you much more then you'd like.. they're out there.. and like I said.. nothing wrong with the 318Is.. only 140Hp.. but if you get a good one, its a nice car.. and when it comes to BMW.. always go for the coupe
5ers are a whole other deal, I just dont know much about them.. :bah:

just get you ass out of the cold!

if its 113 or 115PS M40 engine its too weak I know what I am talking about I have it too weak for e30 well enough for going from A to B but thats about it or you have to abuse it too much to have any fun, also its not the best BMW engines that was built 8)
if its 1,8iS version 136PS M42 engine than its pretty good, at least take 2,0 with Vanos http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_M52#M52B20 its was fitted from 1994, or better 2,5 or 2,8
