Chine is too big and probably life conditions change from part to part greatly. I have heard that workers that work for less than a dollar per day live like prisoners. I personally would not live there.

One reason to visit China is that in many ways parts of China exist unchanged since the first century. That is changing rapidly in 50 years, it may not exist anymore.
I'd like to go, but without my family and not working.
A friend just came from Everest Base Camp overland to Shanghi. No details yet but, I have heard it was a wild trip, maybe not one he will ever want to repeat.

proxy server bypasses that bann right away.....and its easy to get a free proxy from anywere in the world. I use proxy to listen to an US radio station, that its not allowed to broadcast online to other countryes.....
Why would anyone bann all the IP's in a counttry? Especially when it can draw a lot of visitors......

I had met a guy in 2003 or so in Prague air port that was going to go to India for 6 months despite he had a wife and children, and was carrying a bike with him, may that one be you DrijF360? :turn-l: He was about your age. It would be very a very interesting coincidence if its you...

ban them because they are a large amount of hacking crap causing turds that its easier to ban them all then to deal with the hassle.

I lived in China for almost a year and was fortunate enough to travel across the country and Xiamen was a very nice city indeed. there is a large university there and it is really close to Hong Kong. also the beach there isn't bad.
Also i was able to get JW when i was over there!!

I think that russians, Ucrainians and some other East-Europeans are bigger hackers than them......theres isint a week that passes, and I dont see news about some hacking or money stealing over the internet made by East Europeans....

My dad used to work in Shanghai and whenever I went up there, I could go on JW. Maybe it's different from ISP to ISP.
To be honest, I would hate to drive in China. I enjoy driving and I enjoy enjoying driving. Therefore, I would never drive on Chinese roads. Too much stress.
