Yesterday was my first day and I spoke to alot of interesting customers, I helped them as far as I could and then I would get my boss so that I could see and learn all the things I don't know yet, like taxing a car and the actual ordering.
Yesterday a S3 as well as 2 Q7s were ordered and a S5 was sold. And some normal A3s A6s etc. A Renault Clio V6 (phase 1), MB 350ML and BMW M5 (E60)were taxed and probably will be exchanged and sold on to other dealers.
But I had a very interesting day, the boss gave me the keys of a nice little A3 1.6 and said I had to go and put some fuel in it, offcourse I was absolutely chuffed and I thought that the car was very nice, fairly fast for only a 1.6.
But the big surprise came on the end of the day. One of the salesmen was returning from his holiday and he wanted to drive off in the car he uses for the office (its an Audi TT they use for testdrives too). So the boss said we are going to put that car over their, I imagined that he would drive the TT and I would drive some crappy car but oh no. He said ''Ill drive upfront in the Q7 and you follow me in the TT''
So my weekend was complete as from then, unfortunately it was only a small journey but that didn't matter.
It was an Audi TT 2.0 Litre Turbo (same engine as golf gti) with a 6 speed box. I think that it drove very well and that it was pretty fast (0-60 in 6.5). I had to get used to the short ratio's driving a 6 speed but the gearbox made it sporty. The best thing IMO is the low ride and it was quite funny driving behind an inmense Q7 and just being able to see the license plate LOL
Anyway all in all a good first day but Im looking forward to whats to come. I overheard a customer talking to my boss about wanting to take a testdrive in a Audi Q7 4.2 Litre V8 (diesel) but we only have the 3.0 Litre V6 for testdrives. The only 4.2 Litre V8 is with the Importer at the other side of the country and you can borrow it from them from time to time. Only thing is you have to go and get it yourself, so Im praying that I can go and get it
