Ugh, I hate unions. They're so close to totally unnecessary in the modern age it's not even funny. Somehow unions think hurting their own company is somehow very very beneficial. What's really annoying is when people are forced to join (in order to work at a certain place), pay the union dues etc, and then still receive minimum wage. Perhaps one could argue that that minimum wage is higher thanks to unions. Anyway, in America, they're generally ridiculous and spend too much money on barely (if at all) relevant political campaigns instead of their own members.
That's too bad though, I guess you'll just have to cross your fingers and hope things get sorted out quickly.
