I swear, TG humor for the US show would never work. I have an English (ex-pat?) professor whose humor is so scathing and sarcastic that if he weren't English, he'd just sound like an ass. But he's English, so he's really funny.

US Top Gear would be exactly like that if it were to just copy.
A good car show doesn't have to be funny. It just can't be boring. Cough, Motorweek. That made Auto Motor und Sport seem so lively in comparison, and that's a German show.
