First Bernie Mac and Now Isaac Hayes: South Park Star Found Dead

A tough weekend continues as Issac Hayes (the one time voice of 'Chef' on South Park) has been found dead in his home, a report from CNN details on Sunday. Isaac Hayes died today at the age of 65. He would have turned 66 in 10 days. Ugh! Bernie Mac yesterday and now Isaac Hayes today. Bernie and Isaac did a movie together called "Soul Men" which comes out later this year.

The cause of death is unknown at this point. Hayes – who was to turn 66 on August 20 – is the father of 12 children and the grandfather to 14. He has had four wives, reports Us Weekly. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002 and his new album was scheduled to be released on September 16.

In 1997, Hayes was prominently featured as the voice of Chef in South Park. He would later give that up over a debate over an episode that feature Scientology. The 65-year-old was found unresponsive near a still running treadmill at his home by a family member.

He was pronounced dead an hour later at Memphis' Baptist East Hospital. No foul play is suspected. He will be sorely missed. R.I.P. Isaac Hayes.

This was some shitty news. I was watching Oceans 13 when I heard about this and it was a massive dampener. Both relatively young too?
