All of Gemballa's creaitons have that absurd over-done look about them... he has no shortage of "new money" customers with little sense of style/taste to sell his creations to.

I think the true "value' of Gemballa's cars are when they are rediscovered years later as "used supercars" - but not when they are "fresh".
