The cup tires definitely helps. This guy's shifting is very good.
It's amazing how the car takes on bumps so stable.

They sure do... and going flat through the kink down Dottinger Hoe above 180 mph... just wow. 177 through the first ess...

The tyres account for almost all the improvements. They (GM) suggest otherwise but the speeds don't lie
