Default VW Golf R32

Hello, dear friends.

I'm new here, and, as here in Brazil we don't have not even 1/10 of the sports cars options you guys have, I'm seeking for information/impressions of those who have driven the impressive (at least to me) Golf R32. I am a happy owner of a 132 kW Golf GTi. Is there too many difference between the R32 behaviour on track and this 132 kW GTi?

How do you guys would compare the R32 to the 225 hp S3, for instance? And to the following: Focus RS, Impreza turbo and Lancer EVO?

Thanks!

THe R32 is much more power , 250hp with a 3.2 liter engine , plus a 4motion 4wd system which is derived from audi“s quattro .

I bet is faster than que S3 , being the same car basically , JClarkson said its much better than que Focus , but the Impreza STI and Evo are out of the league

Hello!

Great picture on the M3's! Amazing car!

Yet about the Golf R32, anyone knows if VW is planning to launch a new "R" model for the new Golf?

I've also heard something about Audi launching a brand new S3 with around 350 hp? Do you guys have heard anything about it too?

the fastest car is the evo no doubt about it....in a track the ford focus rs is faster than the R32....that is a fact also.it is that qualife differential that makes the difference and not the 4 wheel drive(haldex:2wheel drive and when the front wheels lose traction becomes 4wheel drive).

yea, the evo is too "hard" and agressive, and the gold more 4 eveyday, but the sti is perfect, its between agressive and everyday use

^^ I havent heard of any standard evo's goin bang. Are there bad reports on the evo's reliability in other countries!??
I like the sound of the R32, it looks awrite, i think the RS looks better (but im biased!) Havent a few tests found that the R32 isnt as quick as its figures state it to be!??

the evo isn't going bad....there is no doubt for it's reliability....i would like to ask what do you want.you want speed and you have a family?get the evo.you want speed you don't have a family.get the rs(but you will have to remember that it will be used...)you want speed and an everyday car.get the sti...for me the R32 goes last..
