Table for the noise of lots of cars-see who are the loudest!
This was taken from several magazine tests.
Interior, full throttle, 1st gear at redline
Ferrari 575M Maranello - 80 dBa
Lamborghini Murcielago - 89 dBa
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - 87 dBa
Ferrari F40 - 99 dBa
Ferrari F40 (Tubi Style) - 105 dBa
Dodge Viper SRT-10 - 91 dBa
Porsche 911 GT3 2003 - 90 dBa
Ford GT - 83 dBa
Porsche Carrera GT - 93 dBa
Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale - 93 dBa
Ferrari F50 (sports exaust) - 102 dBa
Lamborghini Countach (no muffler) - 101 dBa
Pagani Zonda C12S - 88 dBa
Mercedes SL55 AMG - 73 dBa
Mercedes SLR Mclaren - 90 dBa
Honda S2000 - 89 dBa

Thats pretty cool, I think the legal limit here is 100db for a road car. I wonder what my stang was at when it had straight pipes, that was pretty friggin loud.

f40 is the loudest no way, i think the 360 is even louder from out side of the car,
any way this test doest not mean it has the loudest engine note, just because it is taken from inside the car, the f40/50 have nothing for sound dimming, so that is why they are so loud inside the car.

I reckon it may be higher than this. I remember this car being banned from one of circuits in the Evo magazine Car of the Year events - reason: it was too loud...
I am sure the Mclaren F1 is also up there in noise....

Loudest thing I ever saw on Top Gear was the Spyker - they had to use subtitles so we could understand what the reviewer was saying as he drove it. :shock:
