I am new in JW. But I hope to be accepted as one of the guys. I have seen a lot of really neat car pics on this site and thought I would stop to say "hi". I hope you do not mind if a girl comes out and wants to talk about cars or what not. Don't worry no "girly" subjects will come from me.
I grew up around a bunch of gear heads and enjoy all aspects of cars.

I heard a rumor about Top Gear coming to the US, is this true??? I would love to be able to watch it. I have seen some clips and really love the show. It is very informative and Tiff is cool.

Again, I hope you guys will not mind a girl hangin around the forum. 8)

) glad to see a genuine female enthusiast on the site. BTW tiff has a new show, called fifth gear. very good show as well as top gear, which is hosted by jeremy clarkson (tiffs very tall cohost from the shows i am sure u have seen) things have changed a lot, but for the better i promise. JW is large and wonderful, im sure if u are legit, this is ur dream website, as it is most of ours. Welcome again and try not to get offended by all the pics of gorgeous girls on the site. we are also obsessed with the female body, which is a beautiful thing! neways have fun. and for all u pervs dont bug geargirl for pics u buggers. 8)

Don't worry about me being offended by the female body pics, I too believe the female body is a beautiful thing. No I am not a lesbian. Just enjoy to look.

As for "you couldn't be a girl," WHY???

I don't have any pics at the present moment anyways. I hopefully will shortly. I aslo have a pic of a sweet Camaro that needs to be scanned in. When I have it scanned I should post it, huh?? It's an older model, I believe it is a '68. Not totally sure.

Don't get me wrong if you are or you aren't a girl I don't mind it is just that the reality of it is not many girls like cars and the likliness of this being true is slim but if you really are a girl enjoy and if you are a bullshitter talk to geekdiggy

Whether you believe me or not, is not my concern. Only you can make that choice, though. I know who I am and I know I like cars. I don't expect "guys" to understand why a woman would want to get under a hood of a car. Considering the stereotypical woman does not do these things.
So I just hope you keep an open mind in the future, you are only 21. Get with it, it's 2004. Women do a lot more for themselves then men do for us these days.

Anyways, does anyone know when they will be showing top gear or fifth gear in the US???

Fifth Gear is supposedly going to be aired on Speed Channel sometime in the future. (I'll believe it when I see it)
As for Top Gear, I really don't know. I guess BBC World shows a condensed version, but I don't have that channel.

Thank you for keeping an open mind and welcoming me. I do hope there are more people here who have open minds than not. And you're right, they probably are "women deprived geeks". :fadein: Which is why they doubt me. That is their problem though, not mine.
I am saving to purchase a car. But have not decided whether to get a car or a truck. I would like the truck because of it's off road abilities, but a fast car would be nice too. Any suggestions?????

Something for every day driving, but with some power behind it. Not too expensive, though.
