Trip to Europe

well guys i need some help from you guys, i hope to find it in here!

please all of you guys help me out!!

im planing to make a trip to Europe due to september, the problem is that i was counting on "pullmantur" to sell me a tour around europe but they donthave any during august, september and october, so i'll have to make the trip on my own, wich is very dificult because i dont know how to travel and second i dont know from any way of traveling company (bus, train) that coul help me out.

what i need is if any of you guys know from any bus company that could make me a package to travel around europe, i was planing to do it in train, faster and stuff , but again i dont know from any company, this would be the trip

5 days in paris
1 day in munich (only one night)
1 day in innsbruck (only one night)
3 days in venice
5 days in rome
3 days in florence
5 day ins geneva
3 days in barcelona
3 days in madridç

back to america :cry:


the day in munich and in austria are because the trip from paris to venice would be to much for one day,

if you guys know from any company in europe that i could contact and tell them this, please let me know!

Dang, never heard of a company that could do personalized packages sorry...

And dude, IMo you should maybe reconsider this planning will be very stressing! Better to focus on a couple of nations only, like France and Italy for instance, or Spain and Italy Or say 4 towns only.

yah yeah i know, i wanted to do that, but this is my cousin's firts trip to europe and he is pushing me to do this, :cry:, but why do you say the planning would be stressing? why? hotels and stuff or is it because to many places to visit?

To many km, to many things to see IMO. You know, 5 days in Rome and Paris is not bad although both could easily fill a whole week each. But you plan to stop 3 days only in some marvellous cities like Madrid or Barcellona wich would need at least 5 days to be visited at "normal" pace and not running

The way you present it, it seems more of a roadtrip, with some pauses here and here while IMO such cities need to be lived, to be "felt under the skin". You really have to settle down to their rythm, visit maybe the outskits and not only the main touristic locations...

On the other side, I can also understand that, coming to Europe from so far away, you want to see the more places possible.

BTW, I'm not so sure 5 days in Geneva are really needed. (ok if you want to spot some nice cars is a good bet ). And if you come to Switzerland IMO Geneva isn't the best choice as for big cities Zurich would be great. But would also be great to climb a bit into the Alps.. Gstaad, something like that.. but not much to see there if not the mountains (where you can have some amazing walking)...

If I'd have to spend around 30 days in Europe I would do something like:

Fly to Lisbona, Portugal, stay there 7 days ---- train ---> Madrid OR Barcellona for another week --- train ---> Paris 7 days --- easyjet or similar ---> Tuscany (Firenze, Pisa and so on) for the rest of the month

But the combos are every nation in Europe is worth to be seen and enjoyed... it's really hard to suggest something but I repeat, I doubt you will find somebody that could answer your needs with some "custom" trip

The only custom trip that will come like that is one you organise yourself!! It is not that bad, just do the research.

thanx TT and jon_s, i HAVE to stay 5 days in geneva beause like i told you, i have part of my family in geneva, soo you know, i would do some research and look what options do i have, another question!, if i book hotels in internet, would it be safe or not really? alsothe easyjet option is very cool and not that expensive, so i'll see what i can do!!!

As for internet booking, I did it just once for the last trip to Paris and worked VERY well (was cheaper too).. but I have to admit I also hammered them by phone some 4 or 5 times to talk with different ppl and be sure the reservation was ok

Just go to www.raileurope.com and buy the appropriate pass for you trip. Travelling by train in europe is so easy, just remember to be there on time as the train schedule is very punctual and they will leave your ass on the tracks. Stay in hostels or pesions, which are in people homes and they let you stay in a room for about $10 US a night. It is very safe it is not like the USA at all.I spent 2 months travelling by myself a couple of years ago and didn't ever have one worry in my life. You have to go and see a bullfight in Madrid, but they hold them on Sunday nights, so plan appropriately. Have a great trip.

sounds like fun maybe too many cites like TT said. If you go to Italy, why not to go to Ferrari, Lambo and Zonda factores?(and ofcourse soot it all on camera nad get it here on JW j/k)
If it is helpful, all magor cities have theyr sites on the net, and there are phone numbers, magor hotels and staff. I think its the safiest way to book hotels and stuff using it - http://www.paris.com/(www.paris.fr), http://www.muenchen.de and so on.

after checking robruf link we changed the plan, and now we will travel with a eurailpass 10 day flexi pass:

paris-> venice

venice-> rome

rome-> florence

florence-> geneva

geneva-> nice

nice-> barcelona

barcelona-> madrid

and back to america (shit hehehehe)


and its way cheaper.

now the problem is the hotels, can you plz tell TT where did you book your hotel? link maybe?, thanxs all for helping this is going easier than what i expected

Yeah its best if you work out where you want to go, what u want to do there and therefore how many days you want to stay there, where your gonna stay, how your gonna get there and then book it all on the internet. Some things will have to change when your booking as some hotels etc may not have enough vacancies etc. Just remember to plan EVERYTHING in advance and make sure you have an itinary of what your going to do and you should be fine. Most importantly, have fun

As for hotels well in Paris we used an Accord Hotel.. they have their website.. you chose country/town and hotel... but as posted by somebody else, it's a good idea to find the city's website and in there you will find for sure a list of hotels, hopefully with online booking possible.

If you need help for italian or french websites, ring a bell

Stay away from the F1 hotels....although they can be a life saver at times!

The only risk is to end up every time beeing picked up by a whore instead of an hotel emplyee
