Default my favourite top 10 sports cars ever

On the same way as Jeremy Clarkson did the "Top 100 cars" a few years ago about his favourite 100 cars, id like to get your point of view about a similar classification which includes your 10 favourite sports cars ever instead..........a list which includes the most accomplished 10 sport cars got from quite a huge list such as the supercars, the hot hatches, the 4 door sport saloon, sporty coupes.......

There you go my own list

1. McLaren F1: the best ever made sporty car, once after 10 years its still the fastest car ever, with a superb chassis, suspension, its nimble, it has great brakes...even nowadays when the rivals are pushing really hard

2. Porsche 911: Its must be its 40th aniversary, and still its maintained as a reference of an sporty car, today its even the favourite car for many people although its concept is supposedly obsolete, today the car gives a good example of how a sporty car should be, although the engine is in the back, the engine is boxer, the interior of it its a bit messy, the engines are hard to push, as well as the pedals....

3. Lotus Elise....a very accomplished car with a superb chassis, great performances, very fun to drive, very good sensation that not many car give and a cheap car as well

4. McLaren Mercedes SLR.......the ultimate car almost as fast as the carrera GT, the Ferrari Enzo, the McLaen F1 in terms of performances and efficient as well when passing through a curve, braking.......and maintaining the usual confort, silence, progressivity of a usual mercedes

5. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6.....in terms of a few years theyve been able to get a reliable 285bhp based on a 2 litre turbo engine, theyve been able to get a very efficient car in every surface(tarmac, snow, gravel)....for instance, since the launching of the Evo 6, the japanese car into grN specifications, is able to be at least as faster as any good Ford Escort Cosworth GrN

6. Audi Quattro....it was the first brand who relied on introducing the 4 wheel drive concept into a hot hatch........and the pioneer of introducting the same system into the rallying world

7. Merc 190 E 2.3-16...the car is 21 years old right now, and its still very efficient when comparing with current hot hatches, it was one the first models to introduce the 4 valves per cilinder technology....although its efficiency and the performances, it maintains the usual merc confort and sensations

8. Lancia Delta Integrale....it was one of the firsts cars to be very efficient, quick, and easy to drive in every surface...they did a very good job with the car in both the road cars and the rallying cars as well...

9. Ferrari Enzo....Its the application of the F1 experience and technology into a sports car with some very good results in terms of the car efficiency on the racetrack, braking, when launching the car from 0 to 100km/h

10. Porsche 911 GT3RS....its almost hard to believe that an atmospheric 911 is able to be faster than a 911GT2 on the racetrack, and also being the 911 GT3 RS a car quite easy to drive

Actually I've heard that some drivers complainad about the brakes on the McLaren F1. Nice list but ÍMO the Enzo gets higher rating than the Elise.

Sorry about you left hand Mopsdrops. Get well..

1. McLaren F1 - uncompromised, best overall performance and is a genuine everyday supercar.

2. Ferrari 360 CS - probably the best sounding car around at the moment

3. Porsche Carrera GT - One of the most technologically advanced road cars today, and is very useable - has common properties with the McLaren F1, probably most notably its size

4. Ferrari F40 - The first proper supercar

5. Pagani Zonda - impressive build quality, excellent chassis and a sound to die for

6. Porsche 911 - Not really a favourite of mine but it has to be one of the most accomplished cars ever produced

7. Aston Martin DB9 - the vanqusih marked the start of a new era for aston, but this has the same engine, is more nimble and most importantly is 60 grand cheaper

8. Ferrari Enzo - I was debating whether to put this in at all but then again it has to be in here, the fastest and most expensive production ferrari ever

9. Jaguar E - type - Probably the most beautiful car ever made

10. Shelby Cobra - probably the only american car i would ever buy if i had the money. Shit handling, but great engine, especially the sound. This is what open top motoring is all about.

Most of these cars are relatively modern and i could probably make a top 100. This top 10 would probably change most days for me as there are so many cars that could be in there like the older AM DB's, the old mini, the pre war MB racers, the F50, the GT40, the audi quattro, lambos, the list could go on forever, but jus to give u an idea

I think we could try to keep the latest one alive instead of creating another new one ->
