Yeah thats true, but the evo is just a more manoverable car. a freind had a GTO and i was pretty dissapointed with the quality, and my bro had a maloo(vu ii r8 ) and that was pretty dodge also.
are you in brisbane?

Thats a great comment, very well backed up.
What would you recommend as a quality car instead of a Holden?

well considering that coupe 4 is $90 odd grand....theres a lot more you can do with that money other than buy a piece of shit........well i guess there ok, they try to copy euro cars, unsucessfully.....you have a crommodore.....what do think of it? must be a like hoping in a bmw and the new series of commodores....well it must be just like a Vanquish since they have similar exteior finishing touches...but they at least design there own engines..unlike your beloved pos....

The Coupe 4 is not a piece of shit IMO....what do you base you opinion on?
I have a Commodore yes, and for the money I paid for it I think its great...but no better than a Falcon of similar value probably, but I just prefer the look of the Commodore hence the reason I bought one.
Its a bit of a stretch comparing Aston Martin and Holden, its stupid actually since they are in completely different price ranges.
I would like to know exactly why you think Holdens are POS...its easy to say it about something you don't like but you have to back it up with some facts. I like Holdens, but they are not my favourite car maker, and I only defend them since they are not as bad as you are making out.
EDIT: This is what carpoint.com.au had to say about the Coupe 4:
"So it's really no contest at the end of the day; we'd take both. The Coupe4 is our everyday car capable of tearing your favourite country road to pieces with no fuss. Coupe4's all-wheel drive has simply made nine-tenths driving easier and more accessible to a wider skill range of drivers."
They don't seem to think its a POS, and frankly I value their opinion more than yours since they know what they are talking about.

Well you have to test drive a coupe 4 really to say how good it is, but i can guarantee you that it wont excite you as much as EVO could for a lower price and provide a higher standard of quality no dobut.
I was being sarcastic when comparing the aston to the holden, but holden is trying to copy them and many more car companys they try to rip off. I hate holdens for the fact that so many jackass drive them and defend them such as yourself for being so great, when in fact they are ugly, chew fuel, slow and the fact that everyday you drive your car, you will see the exact same thing at the colour lights next to you more than once a day. And the fact that they are ages behind in technology and talk up the "features". Take for example a Alfa 90, built in 1986...holden have reached the same features that car had in 1998 i think it was with the VT.....And for the price of Coupe 4 i was saying you can do a lot better, not for the price of your car....

I don't know if the Evo would have better build quality, but I agree it would be the more exciting car to drive.
I am defending Holdne but I'm not saying they are 'so great', just not as bad as you make them out to be.
You are entitled to have your opinion about them being ugly, but in the end that doesn't define the quality of a car....and since so many people buy them they can't be all that ugly.
I think its only natural you would see alot of them on the roads since they are the main family car in Oz, you also see a ton of Falcons, Magnas and Camry's...its just the way it is. I am saying that for what they are intended (and that is a family car mainly) they do a great job.
I agree that Holden (and other Aussie manufacturers) have been behind in technology, but they are getting better and catching up.
I love having arguments like this, its interesting to see how other people think sometimes.

Yeah its good stuff, But as a family car they do a decent job at hauling the family around and can take a fair amount of abuse....but as a sports car....dont know what they are thinking, esp when they charge such a high price for there sports cars  But being australian, many Aussies will buy them, support there country as they think. And you see them everywhere as many people believe they have similar performance to Super Taxis, but really they are cars with main compentents from America, and Australia has little to do with tunning them. maybe applying a few stickers on the side

Tho it is really an apple vs orange comprison, I am gonna go with the evo. Not becoz Holden is shit tho, it is nothing but that actually. They make the best out of old technolog -> "Large displacement NA RWD".
I favor the EVO becoz only of personal preference on turbo 4WD car and evo is simply one of the best.
