HAHA I read an article about this some time ago in my own language, and in some parts it was messed up like that and indeed it is amazing how, even in a language wich is only my third one, I can read your post w/o troubles!

Indeed very cool that the brain can do this, mine has caused me problems because of this in the past in exams, when i quickly scan questions i used to occasionly fill in the wrong words and answer a completely different question  luckily i always did o.k. in the end and have now learnt to read questions properly instead of rushing ahead.... thats my exam tip for the day kids

Thats cool stuff mindgam3. I went to a lecture on speed reading and apparently people that read really fast dont read each individual word in a sentence, but they read groups of words to get the meaning. Apparently that is how our brains are naturally inclined. However as kids we learn to read words by learning each letter and then sylabol, but your experiment proves that we dont need to read each letter.
