Infiniti Skyline GT-R (Sport Compact Car) + Bonus info/pix
Enjoy.

GT-R on Nurnburgring (yes it's Left-Hand Drive)
More pix

The test at Nurburgring wasn't about parts testing, but overall performance and handling, suggesting that the GT-R has entered the middle phase of development where engineers concentrate on the entire package rather than just seperate parts. The front bumper seen in the pic above isn't the final design!!! It's a just a quick bumper thats been made so the car has some kind decent airflow characteristics without any attention to styling.
The rear wing on the other hand does give a big hint as to what the final one will look like. The reporter from Best Car was suprised that the rear wing is just your generic late model FD3S RX-7 type wing with beefed up end plates. The wide fenders will make the GT-R 100mm wider than the current V35 Skyline Coupe, making it the same width as the current Porsche turbo. Some effort has been put forward to make the fenders blend in as a component of the complete aerodynamics package, one that will become one of the strongest merits of the car.
Thanx to other forums

^it looks too much like the G35 - in fact, it just looks like a tuned G35 w a body kit, a wing, and then some TTs under the engine. Which, if i'm not mistaken, you can get for a G35 already on the aftermarket.
Nontheless, I like the idea of Nissan making a power car again. the tuning help from lotus should be handy, and i like the idea of a sequential gearbox as an option. and presumably, this will come with a warrenty.

well the G35 is the Skyline in Japan, and the previous GT-Rs were based off lesser Skyline models... there is even a 4 door R34 Skyline. So making this next generation look like the current "Skyline" makes perfect sense.
I really do hope they give it some "muscles" in the styling to celebrate that this really is as powerful as it is and differentiate it from the rest of the G35s. At least make it more aggressive all over, like (more) pronounced wheel arches and rear haunches, and not just give it a different front bumper and a big wing....

The front bumper isn't very good, but that is just a placeholder anyway. You think the G35 is an ugly car?

^if he was referring to the front bumper, then I completely agree. It is damn gaudy.
I personally think the G35 is a beautiful car though

well if it really is a prank they did a hell of a job of it, getting more than one magazine to believe it was actually going around the 'ring. the previous images were fairly obvious photoshops, but this one is harder to tell

I reckon they might use even a turbocharged version of the v8 so as to keep up with the lexus...As to the R32 i would be pretty disappointed if it had merely 250hp as there have been some rumours indicating the output of about 300 horses.
