Today I had a once in a lifetime experience - the honor of leading several beautiful Ferraris, with drivers who were bigger hooligans than me, out of Durban where I live in SA!

I woke in a good mood after a wonderful call during which I admitted only one kiddo ... got to sleep the rest of the night - what a pleasure

My consultant tells me at the morning meeting that he saw
a large number of red cars with Horsies on their bonnets at the nearby Shell - some DJ challenge? "Doc u a petrol head why dont u go check it out now that u postcall?" I dont need to be told twice and was out of there before u could say ariverdeci!

At the scene - several beautiful red Ferraris behind red and yellow tape promoting shell Vpower (their petrol sucks in South Africa by the way-me sticks to Engen - Petronas Dynamic 97) 360 modenas, a 512 testarossa, a magnum 308 and a few 355s. Before I could roll my tongue back into mouth and slap myself for not carrying my camera to work, the drivers and DJs got in to their low beasts, started their engines (what a fantastic way to go deaf!) and began to leave. So sadly I head home in my humble bestickered subaru wanting prancing horses, just getting by with scooby doos ... for now

Suddenly on the highway who comes shrieking and flat plane crank screaming on the left and right of me? the 2 leading 360`s of course.. I give chase barely able to keep up grinning from ear to asshole. They slow down rapidly ahead - COPS! I think.... they let me come by and the lead driver indicates to me to roll down my window.."Where is Pietermaritzburg?(another local city)"..... "Follow me " was my simple reply... with a WAAAAAAAPTSSSSSSSSH~~~ scooby and me lead the pack...

Get onto the freeway, blasting along with some of the sexiest cars in existence in perfect convoy, making the most beautiful rolling thunder, behind ME!!! - I could only be in heaven right now or
dreaming! Nope that idiot taxi is going to pull out ahead into the fast lane at 80kmh- yes its definitely real! So I clear the path ahead with brights and right indicator on all the way - cars whimper out of
the fast lane to let our high speed train through (even BMW drivers submitted! LOL)- average speed remains quite high and the guy behind me obviously had the 360 F1 coz I could hear him downshift and upshift instantly - just for the fun of it!
We blast past and head out to the next tollgate, I control the pace at speeds of 120kmh (just in case any cops read this

) - OK,OK... lets just say that I kept Subaru honor high
today... hows that?

At the toll, the guy in the leading 360 and his passenger (whom I later discover is Sasha Martinengo alocal SA DJ) ask where are the speed traps.. and I say i will show them .. We rocket off again me slowing for the traps I know. After a few kays these guys just can`t hold back any longer(160-200 is too slow in a ferrari, based on stories I have heard

).. They literally flew away from me like fighter jets- I cannot tell u guys details of what antics we got up to in case the men in blue read this. All I will say is that I was humbled and honored to even share the same piece of tarmac as these cars. The hot pursuit continued until Hilton about 120 km up the road when Sasha and Basel in the lead 360 slowed down the Ferrari bullet train- we said our goodbyes and the highspeed convoy headed to Gauteng about 600km from Durban - and I got to savor the greatest motoring experience of my life on the way back to Durbs....

Jabba I just want to say that I envy u , u lucky sonofabrit.. I got to savor a small sample of what u enjoy everyday..

Thanks man - u need to get a stradale I think .. or at least a 360 convertible J.. the gallardo may be quicker but nothing sounds like a Ferrari V8... I`d love to envy u even more after that purchase...

Man you are LUCKY! I envy all of you that get to see these kind of cars almost every day!!...here the best I get to see is a 2003 SL55AMG, a 2001 CL600 and a Porsche 911 Carrera...that's it!!! there's also a 2003 SL500, there's Boxter driving around, a few SLK32AMG, one M Roadster, a beautiful Hamman M3(there used to be another one, but the dude killed himself in a crash, the car was totaled), a 2002 M5...and that's Nicaragua's supercar count..

Dont feel too bad... just move to Cape Town, South Africa and buy a house in camps bay.. everyday u will see the rich and famous from all around the world pose in their ferraris, lambos, porsches, sl55`s and even a few xj220`s. These were bought locally with pounds and dollars when the local currency was quite weak.. Its bounced back mind u

I had such a wonderful opportunity to capture a photo across 4 lanes of a 360, 355, testarossa 512 and a 308 with me at the end at about 200kmh... imagine all the rears lined up in a perfect diagnol shot with the scooby speedo indicating our 200kmh! damn! I need to get a camera phone...nokia 7250?

lol, yeah a pic would have been sweet! However, imagine trying to take it! lol, going forward at 200kmh......looking back to take the shot...............OOOOOOOOOOooooooooo where did that caravan come from lol :shock:

I actually had some "where did that caravan come from ?" experiences around the tighter corners as the 360 and 308 drivers hugged the inside lines and I went on the outside.. Thank God Subaru fitted some ok 4 potters to the WRX

... I think the Ferrari pilots were quite surprised at how in the slower corners they were braking in the areas where I was accelerating hard

The new whiteline suspension on my car makes it corner like its on rails!

On the straights though, those guys in the modern V8 360s and 355s embarrassed my poor little rally rep

I am sure that over 100 "subaru enthusiasts" read my story yet only 1 replied.. damn jealous cock suckers.. thats why I love JW.. coz the cocksuckers here let u know what they feel bout u and interact on a positive or negative level(just kidding guys .. calm down.. clit lickers sound better?

Maybe it's because your story is more about Ferrari's than about scoobies... I don't know how popular Ferrari's are at your local scooby newsgroup, but around here are lots of enthusiasts for the reds from Maranello.

Point taken Stradale.. The thing is I was in a Subaru driving at high speed with Ferraris.. one has to be a real inbred retard with a subaru key chain up their ass not to get excited bout Ferraris :roll:
Anyways.. I give a shit - the guy that did send me a mail said the rest of the group will reply in the negative if at all coz they would be puke green with envy

I spend more time here and get specialist info from guys like St -anger than anywhere else on the web.. without having to look for it
