Is it me or does the Cobra need to practice its launches... IF he could just get outa the hole he would stand a much better chance.

Do drag radials increase grip and improve traction considerably as compared to Michelin's? Does the ride quality suffer at all?

E55 is almost as fast if not as fast as a viper to 100mph so of course it would win!

That is very true. My uncle used to have a Lotus Carlton with 400+bhp and it was hard to get off the line. So, he sold it and bought a Jaguar XKR and with its traction-control and launch-control he just nails it from the get-go with no hassle whatsoever. I still prefer the Carlton though.

The Carlton was an awesome car - surprising Vauxhall made it (well with Lotus) guess that's why they are trying to sell Holden's these days to fill the gap left by the Lotus Carlton.
Anyway back to the vid, yeh there are earlier videos of the race between them and the E55 AMG wins all of them. The traction is phenomenal and then the power just keeps on coming. No wonder the SLR team is looking a little worried if AMG power keeps rising as it is - and a new 7 speed auto to deal with the torque. You have to agree that the AMG's are something special.
