Well the very first illusion is easy to figure out. In the GIF the actual pink circles turn green for a very short period of time, so if you follow and concntrate on the moving pink circles you will never see the previous circle turning green, but if you just stare at the center you notice the colour switching to green on each circle.

No go mang, most that dissapear for me is 1/4th of em...I stared a long time...my brain must be wired differently. Its like the scope of my eyes is too broad. I can see them fade but never dissapear.

yes that kinda happened to me too, your brain pays more attention to your peripheral vision and wrecks the effect

It worked fine for me. All the pink dots "disappeared".

There is actually no green dot. I was able to stop it by clicking over the minimize button and holding it down. Green i guess is the color between grey and pink so it tricks our minds into thinking that green shows up. Also when i stopped it moving i still noticed the pink fading away, i assume the colors picked were very important and it's a trick of the eyes and how they are interpreted by the brain, very neat.

i dont think you´re right, i took about 12 screenshots, always just showed a dot missing, never a green dot in its place...that´d be an amazing coincidence if it missed the green dot every time...i think it really is ur mind playing tricks with you

I agree, it works for me, i get a perfect green dot circling and no pink. You've got to really concentrate on the cross, and only the cross and it'll work.
A few blinks afterward I stop watching it, i get a whole circle of green dots, kinda like when u stare at a bright light for ages and then u blink, lol

Decompiling the animated GIF into its frames (used CoffeeCup GIF Animator) confirms that there really isn't any subliminal green dot.
It's really cool how our eyes trick us, though

its caused because you're eye runs out of the chemical the sends the signal to your brain to see pink. If you're ever seen one of the puzzles where you stare at it and then the colors invert its the same phenomenon.
