honestly, there are good reasons that Late night shots dont get any more pollitical then satire alone. we need to laugh, and its often nicer to at others' expense.
this interview wasn't a satire... and if daves target audience are those who hate the factor/bill oriely, then this is just fine...
but as far as interviews go for pwnage... this is weak... there is much more real things to own o'riely on IMO.

eh... I don't like OReily either, but Letterman didnt exactly own anyone. He basically sat there and insulted the man with no comments. Kinda useless if ya ask me. OReily is often speaking crap, but at the end of the day insults are the bastion of the weak minded.
In terms of politics my main issue is the comments about Sheehan.. It doesnt take a genius to realize she couldnt afford to go around like she is if someone wasnt paying her bills. She's not there to support the terrorists like OReilly says, but she is there solely for political reasons at the behest of someone unknown with deep pockets.

Why does O'Reilly go on these shows anymore? He comes off as unfathomably arrogant and condescending and the whole crowd is against him. Unless his ratings are sagging or something and he needs the controversy. I wish he'd stop yapping about how the U.S. is doing the right thing by being in Iraq now, admit it was a fucking mistake and move on to attacking liberals you jackass.

Aren't you referring to when Jon Stewart appeared on crossfire?

OK - everyone who says there was ownage is obviously looking for what isn't there.
It was a light hearted comedy interview... they shook hands, the audience applauded both men at each comment..
Letterman is just as much an arrogant overpaid asshat.
Owned - yeah - right.

to it wasn't the same kind of ownage as lets say finding a receipt for the guys wife's sex change kind of ownage, but still shots where fired and taken, bill did get alittle red eyed over some of it.
